		<description>Good post.  In Canada we have a couple of issues dissuading people from returning to the land:

1) In my province 83% of the land is owned by the government, and they aren&#039;t selling.  This is typical of provinces across Canada.  Consider that we also have the highest population growth rate in the G8 - supply, meet demand.

2) The rural crime rate is higher than the urban crime rate, an anomaly among industrialized nations.</description>
