Why has the media been so obsessed with this story? It has led the headlines for a long time now. We know why, of course. This story is the liberal propagandist’s wet dream, discrediting White men, conservativism, and traditional marriage, all in the same blow. I wonder how many thousands of young women have sworn off marriage because of this story?

If you read the Argentinian articles, they are also quite fascinated by the story, but they definitely shame the woman.

As for young women swearing off marriage because of this, I think the opposite may actually be the case. Women love drama, and this kind of thing is standard fare in soap operas. Try reading a romance novel sometime if you can stomach it — those are also full of this garbage. “Affairs of the heart” are like crack cocaine for women.

If anything, it will simply further discourage and demoralize young men, who have fewer and fewer role models to look up to these days.

Probably another single mother divorcée. There are so many of them out there now that there must be millions of women whose dream is that a powerful, married man will leave his family for them.

Unfortunately for the American ones, they don’t know how to stay in shape like Argentine women!

Yes, it is crazy and foolish. As far as I can tell his wife is a good woman. Fooling around with young, single tramps (like Clinton and Spitzer did) is morally reprehensible, but it’s easier to understand than what Sanford’s done — and probably a lot less harmful.

“We mus’t forget that Ms Chapur is also the forgotten victim. This is obviously a true, and sincere love affair. Compatibility and same age group. The governor’s marriage was not very strong. Or he will not have had to find a confident. The governor should step down and get a divorce. His heart is with Ms Chapur.”

Um, say what? More adultery apologists — and this time a woman! Well, at least there was another woman to counter her thus:

“Victoria….your nuts!!!! Maria is no victim she is dating a married man, she is a middle aged woman and knows what she was doing. Monica Lewinsky was a victim but not this lady. Jenny and the kids are the victims. They had no idea about Maria but Maria knew about them. Although, I agree with you Mark and Maria deserve each other, both are selfish, self centered adults who look alot alike.”

I think, Welmer, that this just reflects the lowering standards and expectations men have for women overall.

Why on earth would a man like Sanford chase a single mother from Argentina, or a single mother from anywhere? He has kids of his own, and a family of his own.

Stanford’s wife looks like she was a real looker back in the day, but not so much now.

An older man once told me that there is a little patch of hair that women have that can utterly ruin a man’s life. I laughed at the time, but he’s pretty much right.
