Ya I think your right Grim. Also did you ever read … oh man I cant remember her name now… She was a very liberal activist type from Berkley and switched to conservative with a bang after she saw the hate mongering thrown at Hillary supporters after Obama started pulling ahead.

I wish I could remember her name some of her accounts of attacks on Hillary supporters was unbelievable.

I’ve never been a Hillary supporter but honestly she got the shit end of the stick with being Sec. of State. And looking at her she knows it. Obama has treated her like dog shit. Any other president treating a Sec. of State in this manner would have people condemning his pettiness from here to hell.

So she is reacting the way a pissed of bitch reacts… lashes out at anything even mildly off putting.

Hillary got State as a part of a deal with the Obama campaign according to which she agreed to get out of the race and avoid a floor fight in Denver about the MI and FL primaries, rules committee disputes and so on in exchange for the promise that, should Obama win, she would get State. Likely the Clintonians demanded State because it is the most senior cabinet position.

The Obama administration, interestingly enough, has bent over backwards to undermine her, though. A whole lot of the thornier diplomatic assignments have been parceled out to other people, as special envoys and the like.

I thought Hillary was rude about it and ought to have handled it better. It’s normal to want to know what a former president thinks. That being said, Billy boy has been a bit of a cad in the past. From a media standpoint he had just done a good act by going to North Korea to spring our girls.

Well I imagine, just guessing anyway, that once she lost the primary she was pretty sure Obama was in for 8 years. At the end of 8 years I believe she will be too old to seriously think about running. She took the job to fill that up till now highest female in politics spot and also was more than likely under some pressure to firmly add what remained of her loyal female support to Obama and lessen the damage Palin could take from the female vote.

It is pretty easy to see why she was pissed. She should be president now, all the good diplomatic spots are assigned to other MEN and report directly to a MAN not her and her husband a MAN stole the spotlight from her again by going to North Korea. All why she sits in Africa looking fat and getting asked questions about the opinion of a MAN by some other bigoted MAN!

Yep, it was an appalling lapse of state control from a supposed diplomat. I am very happy however that she didn’t win the presidency. Imagine the damage she could have caused then.

Of course it’s about power — most things are.

Interesting addition to the Orwell quote, sestamibi. I’m not 100% sure I agree, though. In a case where the physically stronger group is being dominated, if that’s what’s happening, it’s at least partially through their consent. No? Not blaming all men, of course, just the ones in power. You’ll have read my thoughts on that in previous threads.

It’s all about power, folks. It’s not men vs. women or black vs. white or Christian vs. Muslim or what have you.
