Best “Game” Post I’ve Seen in a While

August 31st, 2009 · 7 Comments

Justin has a very funny post titled “The Origins of Game: Jesus” over at his Religion News. As far as I can tell, it’s a combination of parody and truth. Perhaps one of the most amusing things about the post is that it’s pretty much right on the money (although the game terminology could use a bit of editing).

Here’s a passage:

Jesus, master of the alpha demand and validation (as recorded in John 4):
Coming upon a strange woman at a well, Jesus starts off by straight up ordering her to fetch him a drink. The woman gives him a shit test, throwing up some religious bullshit excuse not to do it for him. Jesus responds by elevating his own status: “If you knew who was asking this request, you would do that and more, because I give the living water.” The woman continues her shit test, asking him to prove it.

Jesus then validates the girl, shifting the subject, demanding “Where is your husband?” This begins to break her down, shifting the ground to her uncomfortable zone, as she admits she has no husband. Jesus drives the woman down even harder: “Darn right you don’t have a husband, you are a little slut [five previous husbands, living with man currently].” The woman is totally owned by this, and sees to it that Jesus is fed and housed for the next couple days in her village.

This is the most clever exercise in bringing the proponents of game down to earth that I have seen yet.

Thanks, Welmer, glad you enjoy it. I know that my Game terminology is probably weak, I’ve read just enough to be familiar without feeling like I’ve mastered the usages. As you know, I don’t like worldview of Game, and do not recognize we use those terms.

I get the point about the term “Game” — it is definitely problematic.

What we need is a “Rectification of Names.”

I’d be interested to know why the one and only use of the word “Jewish” in the post being referred to is “Do I need to mention when Jesus beat up the sleazy Jewish bankers in the Temple?”

Never been much love lost between Christians and Jewish bankers, I suppose. It’s a contentious relationship by its very nature.

However, I’m pretty sure that most Christians are aware that most Jews are not Rothschilds, and most Jews are aware that most Christians are not Khmelnytsky’s Cossack hordes.

Either way, there’s still going to be the odd potshot here and there (from both sides of the religious divide).

But look at it on the bright side:

At least the Jews in Christendom were allowed to participate openly in banking — in Islamic lands they were forced into trades like tanning and rug-dealing.

And Christians ought to admit that Jewish bankers played a pretty big role in the development of modern finance, which, despite its many problems, laid the economic foundation for the Industrial Revolution and a greatly improved quality of life.

    Welmer,

Consider this “game” being run by the Yale Administration being run with Framing, negs, DHV’s, DLV’s, takeways, and positive/negative re-infocement on the Freshmen at Freshman orieintation:
    http://www.mindingthecampus.com/originals/2009/08/by_matt_shaffer_my_freshman.html

That is Matt Schaffer’s recollection of his mandatory freshman orientation.

The group was constantly told by the school president, dean of the law school, and other university officials while assembled in a large group that white males were prejudiced against Muslim-Americans and homosexuals constantly, and that white males were basically the big problem with America, and how we desperately needed more diversity to counterbalance them.

Framing and negs, all in one fell swoop.

No doubt during the year, and faux-hate crimes will be mole-hills made into mountains to DLV the white males, and all those months dedicated to whoever else’s history will be used to serve as DHV’s toward other groups that make white males “ashamed” by comparison.

Disagreeing white males, no matter how well they perform academically, will deal with takeways, usually in the form of harsh grading, dressdowns from professors in front of classes, and social shaming encouraged by the administration.

The only way for white males to get positive reinforcement, will be to abase themselves in the most beta of ways. If they remain proud and assertive, they will recieve negative re-inforcement.

I think the cultural marxists have gotten with left-wing psychology professors and have designed these little tactics to run mass game on college students since at least the 90′s in earnest.

Conservatives need to identify this, apply a system of nomenclature to it, so that it can be openly mocked outline-style, as it happens.

Don’t get me wrong — I liked the post, otherwise. Very witty and in fact I wouldn’t mind seeing more. I just thought it was, well, a little odd, considering that most of the people in the story were Jewish, of course, not just the bankers — including the star of the show himself.

At least the Jews in Christendom were allowed to participate openly in banking — in Islamic lands they were forced into trades like tanning and rug-dealing.

Yes… but at least they weren’t expelled from Muslim lands until 1948. And it was my understanding they were encouraged to take up banking, as somehow it was usury, and against God, if a Christian did it, but just fine if a Jew did it.

That having been said, yes, most people, regardless of their faith or nationality, know that stereotypes are generally false — and of course the best place to be a Jew today, outside the only Jewish state, is probably in a Western state that is majority Christian.

    Welmer,

Hehe. You don’t need to tell that to me!

Actually, of all the beneficiaries of AA, black male professors have probably been the most fair when I objected to things. They seem to appreciate honesty in whites — i.e. they trust you more if you openly state your opinions rather than supplicate and secretly patronize them.

The absolute worst, in my experience, have been younger white females.
